Jack is a thirty-year-old
veteran that suffered from a substance abuse problem. He had a poor
work history, and has been unable to maintain steady employment.
He started at FAITHWORKS in 1997 as a part-time pieceworker. While his
work ethic and capacity were always well above average, "Jack"
would stumble with his addiction, with periods of time where he would
not work at all.
With
the support systems at FAITHWORKS, Jack was able to work his way up
to one of the most valued production workers in the plant. He then took
part in educational offerings, which eventually led him to starting
his own business. This business has been very successful and "Jack"
has since moved on to operating it full-time. By providing a wealth
of opportunity, FAITHWORKS enables employees and participants to grow
and achieve both personal and career goals.
